9380 Type C/Thunderbolt port suddenly stopped working

I have a 9380 only a few weeks only and the top left type c port suddenly stopped working, the bottom left and right side ones still work with charging and peripherals but the top left one seem to be dead suddenly? Anything plugged in is not recognized, charging doesn't work that way either. In device manager, it says: USB Connector Manager > ucm ucsi acpi device >> Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) I tried to look on dell's drivers site and it told me I need to install this update however it keeps failing to install after downloading: Intel Thunderbolt Controller Driver Intel-Thunderbolt-Controller-Driver_886C9_WIN_17.4.77.400_A10.EXE https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsdt1/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=886c9&oscode=wt64a&productcode=xps-13-9380-laptop

Okay, as an update, I installed these three randomly:

Chipset_Driver_V2WY5_WN32_1.16.32.1_A01

ASMedia-USB-Extended-Host-Controller-Driver_XHJRN_WIN_1.16.56.1_A13_01

Intel-Thunderbolt-Controller-Driver_886C9_WIN_17.4.77.400_A10

And it is working again randomly, I think perhaps it was the latest Windows update 1903? Which caused the problem, weird that it was only one of the thunderbolt ports that stopped working completely, but it seems to be okay now...

Okay, turns out my right side port is dead, I cannot install this driver either, it keeps on telling me the installation ended prematurely:

Intel-Thunderbolt-Controller-Driver_886C9_WIN_17.4.77.400_A10

The left ones work fine though

Hi toothpastestain.

Thanks for posting and for providing your service tag information in Private Message.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.  If it's okay, we can continue working there.  Thanks.
