Dell XPS 9530 System BIOS ver: A11

I have just downloaded and tried to install the latest Dell XPS 9530 System BIOS version A11 from a Dell technical update email. All went well until it came to pop up window asking to install FastAccess Facial Recognition software when the fan kicked in and the laptop froze. I am now unable to turn the laptop off, any suggestions please?
