Laptop hinge
I bought a replacement laptop screen and the hinges don't fit into the socket. Only on side fits. How would I go about fixing it?

First is to contact the vendor and verify the compatibility of the display assembly with your system model.
It either fits, or it doesn't - and it sounds like you've the wrong display assembly for whatever unspecified model system you have.

I'll have to contact the vendor. I asked Dell support for the part number and they gave WGTPY and I order that. I looked at the product specifications and it gave C40PK and WGTPY. I have a xps 9360. Is it possible to slightly bend the hinge over to fit into the socket with a clamp?

I would not do that. It will stress the display (which as you know has a glass cover on the outside). Just a shade too much torque and the glass can crack.
It looks to be the proper part - that said, did the original screen fit correctly? If it did, then the replacement looks like it's damaged and you should ask for a replacement from your supplier.
If the system was dropped -- which was the cause of the need for the display in the first place -- it's entirely possible the bottom chassis was damaged, in which case that's the part to replace, not the screen.

The palm rest was replaced several months ago and it was from Dell itself so I don't think that's the problem.
The laptop had a black screen and failed LCD test so I decided to replace the screen itself.
I'll wait for the response of the vendor.
