Laptop starting/restarting and freezing on DELL logo

Hi,

I have a brand new XPS 13 9300. 

However, I have quite a few issues, since it is such a new model.

My current setup is the laptop is connected to a TB3 dock and the dock displays on a ultrawide monitor. The problem occurs when I restart the laptop. everytime a restart is required, the laptop start the process but when it reaches the point of the Dell logo, it stays there... forever (i have left it there for 20 minutes. nothing). additionally the fans start working and the laptop becomes hot. I haven't figured it out yet.
