Media Disconnected

Question

Hi there, my XPS is not connecting to the internet even though it has a wifi connection. Following all the online advice, I refreshed winstock and ipv4 and 6. Nothing is working. Somehow I am getting nasty pop up ads though. Any advice? IP config is showing Media Disconnected on all adapters. I’m not technical so please speak slowly using easy words! Any help much appreciated. gg

It could be malware. Download and run Malwarebytes Free. You can get that program here. Also their Adwcleaner is a good adware remover and that is here.
