Need a 12v auto charge cord for my new Dell laptop

I have had Dell laptops for decades, and have always charged them while traveling with my Dell 60 watt auto/plane/110v charger. I have just bought a new Dell computer, but it came with a 180 watt 110v charger. Does Dell make a 180 watt charger that can be plugged in to a 12v outlet? (Yes, I know that 180 watts at 12v is 15amps.) As a second question, will my old 60 watt charger charge the new laptop, just slower?

The 180 W charger could be connected to 12 V outlet. There should not be an issue with it. Secondly, you could try to power on the system. However, 60 W won't be sufficient for the system to work. I checked this and I can confirm that you will be able to use the Dell 60 watt charger with the 180w adapter shipped with the Dell 7590. The outcome might be different from what you received while connecting a 60w adapter. As you said, yes it could be slow. But, this shouldn't hamper the usage or performance.
