Password required after screen turns off

Hi,

Setting up new XPS 15 here. Something has changed in Windows since I last set up a new PC. Every time the screen goes off, I have to touch fingerprint reader to get back in. (Note that this is not sleep, just screen turning off.)

The appropriate section in Sign in options -- "Require sign-in" is grayed out and says "Windows Hello is preventing some options from being shown".

How do I stop it from requiring fingerprint every time the screen turns off?
