Restore XPS13 issue- battery?

I am trying to restore my XPS 13 to factory settings. I made it back up and everything and when trying to restore it kept looping at the "hi there" screen. So I managed to get into the bios testing screen and it said something about the error was the battery was nearing its life or end in life. Why would this prevent it from performing a restore? Is there anything else I can do to fix this and have it restore ?
