SupportAssist tune performance made changes I disgust, fix?

It made the following changes which I don't like.

Support Assist Client

  • Registry Cleaner: 459

  • Disable Last Access Timestamp: 1  This one I prefer to have accurate timestamps.

  • Disable Paging Executive: 1  Why oh why is this myth still around.  This offers no benefit whatsoever.  Let Windows manage this setting on it's own.

  • Distributed Link Tracking Client: 1

  • Naming Convention: 1

  • Windows Biometric Service: 1

  • Windows Script Host: 1

How do I turn off Tune Performance and Optimize Network and Clean Files.  These three are screwy.  How do I undo the changes made by tune performance?

I did return DisablePagingExecutive back to the way it was thanks to the web site below.  Just do the opposite of what the website says to do.

For the last access for directories I did:

C:\> fsutil behavior set disablelastaccess 0

You can verify your setting using:

C:\> fsutil behavior query disablelastaccess

So I guess I'm a little happier.  Still, I'd like a more complete log of what SupportAssist did.

I would love a more detailed log for the exact same reason. I want to undo everything it did.
