XPS 15 9560, upgrade battery from 56 to 97 Whr
I am going to upgrade the SSD (M.2) in my XPS to 256GB. I don't need a larger SSD and an internal 500GB HDD,(I have an external 1TB hard drive for games, large files, etc.), so I was planning on removing the 2.5in drive and replacing the battery with a 97 Whr capacity. Is this upgrade possible? I had a conversation with a support agent and they said it wasn't possible/ compatible, but didn't give a reason other than 'not compatible'. I know I'll have to reformat the drive,(SSD), but I'm unaware of specifics on that process. Thank you

Yes it is. If the system now has a 2.5" drive, that will have to be sacrificed -- the 2.5" drive bay space is taken by the larger battery -- you can't have both a 2.5" drive and the larger battery installed in the system.
