Urgent, Goodix fingerprint device was not found!
Hello,
Using XPS9300. Today when I open my device, I noticed that Windows wants me to enter pin instead of fingerprint. After sign-in, I checked Windows hello options and got message "Windows does not found compatible fingerprint device on your system."
I downloaded latest Goodix driver from Dell support and try to install and got following message! Goodix fingerprint device was not found!
What shall I do now? I installed latest bios update 2 days ago and didn't make any changes lastly.
Thank you.

I have experienced the same problem very recently (around November 21th 2020). I have a Dell Inspiron 7501. Tried to reinstall Goodix driver but get "fingerprint device not found" message. |Not sure what caused it to stop. BIOS update was done a couple of months ago an no problem. Could the culprit be the latest Windows 20HS2 update? How can this be fixed?
