Warranty Transfer From USA to Canada

I want to purchase an XPS 15 from amazon.com USA ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N2RLP5M/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza ), but I'm gonna be moving into Canada and I want to know if the warranty can transfer from the USA to Canada and if so how?

1.  You must register the system - and since this system is not being sold by Amazon, be sure the seller provides the system with a valid service tag number.

2.  You must upgrade to onsite service through Dell.

Once you have those in place, transfer the warranty.

Thank you for your message.

Yes, the ownership/warranty transfer can be done from the USA to Canada provided you have a valid tag & warranty.

You can complete the ownership transfer from the link provided by ejn63. The transfer process takes 7-10 business days to complete.

You can reach out to me on a private message for ownership transfer & I will assist you in expediting the transfer process.

I also bought my laptop in USA and am going to move to Canada next year so I would like to extend my warranty period one more year. The Dell sale guy wants me to pay $400 for a Pro service instead of advising me to buy the standard mail-in package of $79 and make a Warranty Transfer. He did insist that I will no be able to use Canada warranty service.???? I really don't understand his point.

You must have onsite service to transfer a warranty -- mail in cannot be transferred.

Depending on the age and model of the system, a one year warranty extension can indeed cost about $400.
