XPS 13 9365 2-in-1, WiFi connection problems

My 9365 has continual and increasing problems connecting to my wifi, staying connected, sometimes it doesn't even see the wifi.

My Android tablet, my Iphone, my wifes Asus and her HP as well as my MacBook ALL have no problems with my wifi so it seems to be a problem with my  XPS 9365.

In researching the issue there are many posts blaming the XPS' wifi problems on it's Killer Wifi card which is soldered into the XPS.   

Has anyone solved this problem?  Is there a way to bypass or remove the Killer Card and install one that works?

You have the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265. The driver is here. Download/save it to the Windows desktop. Then close all browsers and run it. Restart the laptop when done.

Are you saying your 9365 has a Killer Wireless card?  Mine has an Intel 8265.

My system seems to be very stable but my environment may be different from yours.  All I can suggest is to remove the current driver and check the box in the Device Manager to uninstall the drivers.

I normally download the new driver before I uninstall the current driver and then go offline to complete the process.  If the new driver gives you the option to uninstall the previous version, do that but the repair option will probably not work.

If it continues to lose the connection, start watching your environment.  See if you can see anything consistent, such as time between connectivity loss.  What else in online using the same bandwidth.  Are you running the 2.4 or 5 GHz band?  Have you tried changing channels?

Did you install the SmartByte utility?

Hi,  

Thanks for the prompt response.   I assumed, from what I read about the problem, that all 9365's came with the Killer card.  I'm not technically capable so, after reading your message I tried to findout exactly which card I have.  I went to About/System Summary/Components/Network/Adapter and got this.   I can't tell which card I have and would appreciate your help here.

Depending on what card I have, I might get help from a computer tech/consultant to do the steps you indicated.
