XPS 13 7390, S2421HS, HDMI, cycling on and off
I just got a new Dell S2421HS monitor and hooked it up to my Dell XPS 13 7390 laptop (Windows 10) via HDMI cable. Initially it did not appear to recognize the new S2421HS so I downloaded the software and drivers to make a connection, once I did the S2421HS would cycle between black screen and then desktop for a second or two. In the display settings it would not detect a second monitor though and my Laptop screen would flash black too. I have another external monitor I use at another location and I have never had issues connecting. So far:
- I confirmed that the drivers for the S2421HS, laptop display, and the video card are up to date.
- I tried all the restart options on the S2421HS
- My co-worker tried connecting his mac laptop and that worked fine, so I don't think there is a problem with the S2421HS.
Any solves would be much appreciated.

Have you installed and used "Dell Display Manager Application"? Anything beneficial that it did for you?

Yes I did and it was no help.

Why wasn't it? Did the monitor come up in the application or anything (I have used it so I wouldn't know but I am asking for troubleshooting sake).
