XPS 13-7930 2 in 1, close lid, rebooting after period of time

Hello everybody,

I have this issue, after I close the lid and don't use the laptop for 2 hours, when I open the lid, it performs a full boot as if it was previously shut down. I updated the bios to the latest version and blocked sleep from bios. The same issue still happens. The laptop just performed a full boot after closing the lid and opening it within a few minutes.

Thank you

If Block Sleep is OFF in the BIOS, the fault is most likely within the Windows 10 Power settings for the action of the lid. I have my lid set to, "Do nothing".

Hi Chris,

I'm sure that was set as you suggest but I modified it sometime along the way. I will set it as shown and come back with feedback.

Thank you

That worked, thank you.

I'm curious, however, if I allow sleep should it perform a full boot on wake up? That's what seemed to happen when sleep was allowed.

Best,

Mihai
