XPS 15-9570, U2717D, displaying only 6-bit depth

So I have seen this issue on the forums, but have not seen a single solution that works for me. I recently bought a XPS 15-9570, U2717D, and the Dell TB16 thunderbolt dock. But the U2717D only display 6-bit depth, so there is horrible banding on every gradient on the screen. I have updated all my drivers and my BIOS as well, and pretty much tried everything the forums suggested. I think it's sad that I've bought Dell everything, to be sure there would be no issues. and now I have to use a lot of time, troubleshooting on products that are practically made for each other. I guess I was naive to assume that stuff just works.

You should simplify the troubleshooting by removing the TB16 and testing the U2717D directly to the XPS 15-9570. Then check the bit depth. The U2717D driver should be installed into the XPS 15-9570 operating system.

XPS 15-9570 video out ports = HDMI, TB3/USB Type-C
U2717D video in ports = HDMI, DP, mDP

Test #1 = XPS 15-9570 HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U2717D HDMI in port

Test #2 = XPS 15-9570 TB3/USB Type-C out port --> TB3/USB Type-C to DP cable --> U2717D DP in port

If 8-bit appears using the direct connections above, then we know the fault is with the TB16 drivers or the TB16 setup.
