XPS 15 9570, WD15, no longer charging, #3
I am experiencing the same problem. Laptop with WD-15 dock has worked fine and charged as expected with no issues. Today, the dock is no longer charging the laptop no matter what I do. Tried unplugging and turning on the order mentioned above but it is still not charging the laptop.
Battery charges when
- Dock is not attached but Notebook AC Adapter is attached
- Notebook AC Adapter is attached and the Dock is connected afterwards
Battery does not charge when
- Only the dock is attached
No difference if dock is attached before turning on the notebook or not. All drivers/firmware bios updates have been made on both the notebook and the dock.

Hello, fwiw, I am experiencing the exact same problem...seems LOTS of people are. I have done the following and still no resolution.
So, it seems it may indeed be motherboard/usb-c related.

Due to changes made in the latest Laptop BIOS update, this is working as designed. You must have both AC power adapters connected to the Laptop and the WD15.
