XPS 15 SD Card Reader not working
My SD Card Reader is no longer working. In Device Manager: Realtek PCIE CardReader has a warning triangle, status says
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
Device PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_525A&SUBSYS_06E41028&REV_01\4&4435631&0&00E1 requires further installation.
Dell Diagnostics reported no problems with this device. The driver is up to date.

My Card Reader suffered the same and wasn't working. I uninstalled the Dell Realtek driver from Control Panel, went to the device manager uninstalled the Realtek PCIE CardReader driver from Memory technology devices, shut down and re-booted let Windows 10 20H2 build 19042.804 find it again itself without installing the Dell driver package. All now good and working fine again without the Dell driver package! I'm guessing it's a problem with the Dell driver.

Realtek Card Reader failed to start again... this time I've uninstalled the driver and software from device manager and installed...
Card Reader Solutions > Card Reader Controllers Software - REALTEK
Now working again, it's not Dell certified but it is an official Realtek driver.

I have this exact problem as well, so frustrating. SD card reader is basically not functioning. Uninstalling and reinstalling driver works sometimes.

1. Unplug all USB devices-shut down-unplug the power (notebook needs to unplug the battery)-press the power button 5-6 times-power on and re-insert the USB device.
2. Check whether to install the driver of this card reader, if not, please install one.

Can someone please share the file from Realtek? They removed the Windows 10 driver from their site. Thanks.
