XPS 7590 asleep or turned off?

When my XPS 15 7590 goes into sleep mode, I don't see any LED.

As such, the machine looks the same when it's in sleep mode as when it's turned off. Should there be any distinguishing indicator that tells if it is asleep as opposed to turned off? It would be good to know at a glance..

Why not give a public answer anybody can benefit from?
Not being able to see if the laptop is shut down, sleeping or still running ist annoying and just ridiculous.

Anybody who buys a laptop would expect that you can see it's state when closed.
The only thing the front LED tells us is now is if the laptop is charging or if the battery is low.
Especially considering there is a dedicated battery indicator on the side, it seems redundant, counter-intuitive and stupid to use the front LED just for that instead of system status indication.

Who makes these kinds of decisions?
And you wonder why peple buy macbooks.
