Multiple Cluster Support

Would it be possible for XIO array to be added/managed by two XMS servers (XIO 4.0+)?

I have two data centres, each with one XIO array (two X-Brick cluster) (potentially adding another XIO cluster in 3-6 months). At the moment they are on XIO v3 and therefore managed by their respected XMS.

When we upgrade them to v 4.0+, can we add both arrays to XMS server in each datacenter?

Thank you.

No - one XtremIO array can be managed by only one XMS at any point of time. The recommendation is to have the XMS in the same data center where the array is installed.

Why do you want to have the same array managed by more than one XMS? Resiliency/HA?

Thank you Avi.

Yes, kind of... We have two DCs with two identical XIO arrays. I just though it would be interesting to see if full mesh (XIO <-> XMS) can be configured.

We will stick with one XMS per DC to manage local XIO(s).

Thanks you.
