Replacing the default SSL certificate for the XMS with custom certificate that has Subject Alternate Names ?

XMS seems to support only FQDN and IP as the parameters for certificate creation based on Article

Does anyone had success in adding Subject Alternate Names to the custom certificates ? This is needed for using CNAMEs as well as reduce the changes on the 3rd party application when XMS server name is changed/moved.

Subject Alternate Names (SAN's) are a function of the registrar - you create a certificate with a single name, and the registrar adds in the SAN's. You shouldn't need to do anything special when creating the CSR (Certificate Signing Request)

If you do want to do something more than the on-box certificate generation allows, then you can create the certificate off-box (after creating a corresponding key to use), and then import the certificate and key together onto the XMS.
