XtremIO Migration
HI All,
We got a 6 X-Brick XtremIO cluster and we planning to Migrate the data from our current VNX 5700 to XtremIO. We are thinking to use PPME tool to migrate the Data (All servers are windows 2008 standalone and 2008 clusters). Can anyone please share their experience on what other tools would be best to perform the Migration from VNX (everything is block storage) to XtremIO

CloneZilla works , clonezilla.org - not an online or live tool , but has worked.

Hello,
The windows SA was able OS level mirroring of the OS boot LUN
and once the mirroring was done reclaimed the old OS LUN and bought the server on the new OS boot LUN.

VJ, Thanks for posing this Question
I did try sancopy push from VNX to XtremIO. Here is the procedure
1: Zone VNX/Clariion FC ports to All XtremIO FC Ports
2: If Incremental, make sure you have RLP (Ref sancopy document)
3: Mask the target volumes to VNX initiators on XtremIO like any other Host
4: Create sancopy session on VNX with Src LUN and instead of destination LUN UID use target Port wwn (XtremIO FC port) and masked Volume Number (mapped HLU) from XtremIO.
