Aurora R10, changing to RTX 3090
I wanted to experiment and try AMD and after a year I'm just not satisfied. I think I'm ready to switch back to Nvidia. I want to get the RTX 3090 but want to make sure I get the correct one. I wasn't aware that there were that many available. Which one do I need that has the correct fit?

Which one do I need that has the correct fit?
1. Yeah, my last nice AMD card was a 5870. I still have some in old machines though.
2. A small one. Obviously, not too long, but also not too tall (so power-supply arm still closes). I think it would be easier to find a RTX-3080 that fits.
You still need appropriate power-supply and don't be surprised if it gets very hot under max utilization in that small case.

Don't they make a 3090 that will fit my system with the current configuration?
I see some for sale on ebay that came from my PC, and when I had mine customized/built I could choose the Radeon RX 6800 XT or the Geforce 3090.
Regrettably I chose the Radeon.

A used Dell OEM Nvidia RTX-3090 should fit (if there is such a thing in the wild) because how else would they get it in there.
I didn't know you were considering used. I don't buy used video-cards any more (I had a couple of bad experiences). I also stopped buying sophisticated electronics like laptops and computer components on eBay because many sellers like to take their flakey (only 90% working) items and sell them to unsuspecting buyers. When you have a problem with item, they pretend like they didn't know. They are hoping most people will never find-out or not bother with the return. Either way, they get good money for their junk.
Aurora cases are relatively small (with barely adequate cooling). A Nvidia RTX-3090 is a large-card and runs-hot. The RTX-3080/3080ti is less so (and almost as fast) while also being more plentiful.
The Aurora comes stock with various Power-Supplies. Not all the smaller ones with run all the "biggest" video-cards.

What about the GB difference between the 3080 and the 3090.
I would like to be able to record gameplay in 4k, I want to have flawless HD videos of the best quality along with beautiful gameplay.

Depending on the game, gaming at a nice fluid higher FPS can be tricky at 4K. I've never done it, but I'm guessing that recording that game-play in HD (1080p) or Ultra-HD (2160p) perfectly is even harder.

I would recommend waiting until the new cards from AMD drop. I would not recommend purchasing a 3000 series card unless it comes at a steep discount.
