Aurora R13, BIOS 1.0.2, Performance Options disappeared
I noticed there is a 1.0.2 BIOS update on Dell website, so I updated my 1.0.0 to the latest one. However, the Performance Options (BIOS overlocking settings, etc.) disappeared from the BIOS completely. There is still a 'Performance Options' link on the BIOS main page, but if I click on it, it will lead me to a blank page. The system still runs normally with no issues at all. I'm still able to control OC via the AWCC. Wondering if anyone who has updated to the BIOS 1.0.2 would be able to confirm this issue? Or is there anything wrong on my end?
Update=. Since BIOS 1.0.2 has critical updates it is not possible to roll back to 1.0.0. However, the update process may have encountered a temporary glitch which was resolved by the recovery process which is essentially a reflash.

I updated to the new Bios.
I can still choose the overclock settings in the bios, they are still there, it’s just a different route to get to them.What is for sure is, the latest bios gimps the R13, that and the Alienware OC utiltiy.
Hoping for a new bios soon.
Has your ram also lowered from the stock 4400mhz in the latest bios?

After multiple attempts - reflash via USB, reinstall in windows, reset BIOS settings etc, I eventually managed fixed the issue via Recovery (Ctrl-ESC) - BIOS Rollback. It didn't roll back to 1.0.0 tho, somehow it's still 1.0.2 - but I get the performance settings back in BIOS menu. (Guess it's still a 'reflash')
Had some conversation with a tech support - he advised there is no way to roll back to 1.0.0 as the new 1.0.2 includes critical updates. Personally I'm having terrible experiences with this new BIOS - wish I stayed at 1.0.0

Load the optimal default and the over-clocking settings come back.

If you get reboot cycles that is typically because it cannot get a proper POST with the selected OC settings.

Hi,
That enables the performance options but when I enable OC lv1, it goes through cycles of reboots and disables it again. Is this a result of the last Bios update?

Thanks but I tried both oc lv1 and oc lv2 with the same result. Does that mean that this model cant be overclocked?

Usually called prerequisite dependencies.
If you actually watch the motherboard flash, you will see several different motherboard sub-components getting their firmwares flashed. It's only tested and validated as a set.

BIOS Update 1.0.2 has appeared again on the Dell website with a release date of 31st May 22. I have no idea why, my understanding is the latest R13 BIOS version is 1.2.1.

Is bios v1.2.1 stable? I am still running 1.0.12.
