Aurora R8, Crashing

Hello,

I have a basically new R8 that I purchased last year, installed around xmas and barely used until May 2021.

I have been using more for school in the last few months, until now, it gives a message and restarts randomly, even if idle and not running any software. I have not downloaded anything new etc.

Can't reach support and can't stay on long enough to download diagnostic software.

Hit F12 on boot and select ePSA built in diagnostics, it will run outside windows.  No need to download anything.

Also, is it all stock or did you upgrade anything?

All stock, barely have any software loaded

After a few min, hear fans kick on and a windows message comes up about error at 100% restarts...

Try pulling the docking station.  If that clears it up, then look at the manufacturers website for drivers to install the docking station.

Also check device manager for any errors, question marks, or exclamation points, in particular the docking station.

The 100% complete is just how far along it is in logging the error information.  It is supposed to restart when it reaches 100%.  If it doesn't that's a separate problem.   That's not the actual error. The stop code is listed below that in smaller print.

You can start by running the ePSA built in diagnostics at boot, F12.

No change after disconnected docking station, running with barely any software loaded and only mouse/keyboard/monitor.

Still shutting down and restarting with REFERENCE_BY_POINTER stop code.

Dell "support", sent me 9 other things I can run/check to figure out why my brand new expensive paper weight will not stay on. Really need this thing to not shut down so I can take online test for school, without getting a fail for PC crashing, only reason I bought this thing.

    Reference by pointer BSOD

Is there any indication in the event log around the time the crash happens, that points to a driver crash?
