AW2521HFA, weird sharpness while using Dark Stabilizer
Hey, I purchased the Alienware Gaming Monitor AW2521HFA like 1 month ago and have been enjoying it so far.
The only thing that bothers me about it is that when you put dark stabilizer on in the OSD menu it also adds a weird not good looking sharpening to the image on the screen also. Now I don’t know if it was done on purpose or not but my monitor seems to do this and I am not a fan of how over sharpened the image looks when it is on, so I opt out of using the dark stabilizer feature in my OSD menu.
Is this only a problem I am having or anyone else out their who has a Alienware Monitor have this same experience also?
Is there a way to get it to stop over sharpening the image? Because I can’t seem to find this setting if there is a way to make it stop the sharpening part of the dark stabilizer.
Other than that this is an almost perfect and really good looking monitor. Really sad about it.
The Dark Stabilizer is working as designed. The higher the value (from 0 to 3), the better visibility in dark area of the display image. You may want to try to lower the level one notch and see if it looks better to you.
We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the AW2521HFA Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please reply to the private message whenever you are available.
