X51-R3, PSU upgrade available?

Hi all, I am looking to upgrade my X51 R3 to a new GPU, and was looking for advice, ideally, from those who have done the same thing. Found a Mini GTX 1070 8Gb that will fit, but still have one problem: the PSU. Need to upgrade PSU to a 450W or around that, because I don't think and sure that the actual PSU won't handle. I currently have an external 330W power supply that comes with the PC. Can someone help me find a better one or something! Any help is appreciated

The x51 is not further upgrade-able. It has always been power and cooling challenged anyway.

Its "laptop-like" power-supply (with DC-DC Converter board) is well, lame.
You could move it to a larger case, but even then, it's old/small motherboard is of questionable future use.

Many posts like this. I suggest you use it as is ... or start over with a new machine (retail pre-built or custom build).

1070 works with 330w... source: running a 1070ti in my x51. Just needs to be 10.5” and a blower (removal of front fan is required but doesn’t effect cooling) Careful one of the minis is too tall.
