17 R4, Nvidia 1070, erratic boot issues

Hello Friends. I have an Alienware 17 R4 with Nvidia 1070 which is giving me boot problems. I need to wait for 10 minutes before i try booting again or else i will keep getting media presence error even though my priority is set to Windows Boot Manager. The spinning wheel comes sometimes and if it comes i know it will boot otherwise it keeps checking for media presence, then does a diagnostic and says no boot device found.. Then I wait for 5 mins, press the power button for 30 seconds and promptly I see the spinning wheel and surely windows boots up.Once it boots, if I press click restart, it surely does not boot. Again it checks for media presence and says no boot device. I follow the same steps above and then after some time it boots up. This makes the comp highly unreliable and I cannot take it for presentations anymore. Any idea what could be the problem?  Dont know why this is happening as the problem is so erratic. Please help.

You might wanna reset windows 10 and check If your hdd or ssd is still good and does not have any issues with it.

Quick Tip: If your laptop has voltage / charging issues, try shutting it down, unplugging power from laptop, hold power button down for 30 seconds to do a full reset!

I have done the diagnostics. All ok. The thing is its erratic. It boots sometimes, when I see the spinning wheel below the Alienware lettering I know it will surely boot. But sometimes I get the checking media presence even though my boot order is set to windows boot manager

Try putting another drive you know works and then check if it does it again. Try also resetting the bios to check if it's a setting that's causing it.

So I have worked out a solution which I think is a very stupid workaround. The moment I power on my Alienware, I see the Alienware lettering, and after which it checks for media presence even though my boot priority is set to Windows boot manager, at that time I keep hitting the f2 key. now if I hit the f2 key when the Alienware lettering appears it will move to the BIOS setup, however if I hit the f2 key when it is checking for media presence, the Alienware logo appears again, along with the spinning wheel, and my computer boots up properly. Still don't understand what is the problem but for now this is a stupid workaround
