Tech support scammed me
Just wanted to throw this out there, but I bought this Alienware 15 R3 in April of this year and have had nothing but problems. My laptop consistently switches between charging and battery power, unless at 100% battery when it will stay charging. I contacted tech support to try and fix the issue. First they sent me a new power cable/brick which didn't work. After that they sent a tech to replace the motherboard (also didn't work). However, after the tech replaced the motherboard, I noticed things weren't working as fluidly anymore.
I check my system specs (looking for something else actually) and notice when they replaced my MB, they switched me from an i7 to and i5.
What in the actual **bleep**?? Has anybody else had issues with Dell like this? I thought it was odd such a large company would send out faulty equipment to begin with, but the tech support was great. Up until they swapped me from an i7 to an i5 (all the while failing to fix the issue). I am **bleep** beyond belief right now.
Does anyone have a number to file a complaint? I can't find anything but order/tech/sales contact on the website.

It has happened unfortunately time to time where the wrong parts get shipped for a service. Someone didn't read the part number correctly, or maybe the part number is correct but the wrong CPU is installed.
Any number of things could have happened but I seriously doubt anyone has intentionally tried to screw you.
Call support, explain what has happened and they will fix the problem, but it will require another service call to get the right MB installed unfortunately.
