Error: Avamar Networker integration

Hi all,

I have integrated Avamar with Networker following:

Install the NetWorker 7.5 SP1 or later client software on the Avamar server:

a. On the Avamar server utility, open a command shell and log in as the root user.

b. Change to the directory containing the NetWorker software.

c. Install the NetWorker client software in the default location. For example:

d. Start the NetWorker daemons.

e. Verify that the NetWorker nsrexecddaemon has started.

a. On the Avamar server, log out as root and log in as the admin user.

b. Set the default ssh session shell and load the admin user’s OpenSSH key:

c. Stop the Avamar Management Console Server (MCS) service:

d. Open the mcserver.xml preferences file in a UNIX text editor

e. Set “allow_duplicate_client_names” to true.

f. Save your changes and restart MCS:

Add a NetWorker domain to the Avamar server then I have a issue

Pls help me!

Tks so much!

Operation Failed

Either the host is an invalid de-duplication node, the NetWorker client service is not currently running under the host, or there is a NetWorker security setting issue.

Are the required NetWorker licenses enabled for the Avamar deduplication node ?

Most probably it is communication issue , so make sure that the connection and naming resolution is correct, use the ping and nslookup (by IP and name) to check the naming resolution. Also make sure that the services is started, and check the same wizard again after disabling any firewalls between the two hosts.

    Hope this helps,
