Installing and configuring new storage nodes
We are reaching capacity on our grid and need to add additional capacity. Is this something that can be done by the customer or does it have to be done by EMC. I have seen the documentation in the installation guide for racking nodes and installing the software, what else needs to be done?
- After the nodes have been installed, EMC must come out to configure the additional nodes. During this time, there is a "rebalancing" of the grid that needs to occur. Note that the grid will be offline during this time and it usually takes a few hours (This time is dependant on the capacity of the grid).

Currently this isn't something that can be done by customers. Just speak with your sales rep and request the "AVAM-ADDNODE" service.
