Auditing fuctionality for VNX file
Hello,
we need information about the file auditing function und decription from the VNX file solution. My customer works with the file inegrity and trecrypt function. He will migrad from normal windows server to the VNX and need this functionality. I'm search about powerlink, but daes not find information about this.

thank’s for the fast help. I have download the documents and it helps to understand the function and configuration. In the next step we will informed the customer.

Hi,
VNX implements the normal Windows auditing for CIFS – see the following manuals for details
Using Windows Administrative Tools on VNX®
Configuring and Managing CIFS on VNX®
Besides that there is an auditing API for CIFS and NFS called CEPA that various 3rd party vendors like Varonis or Quest have integrated with.
I would suggest to contact the vendor of your tools to inquire what integration work he has done with VNX:

P.S.: any solutions that would want to install Windows filter driver or software directly on the CIFS server will obviously not work
