lost connectivity to mgmt from PC

Looking for port settings to be sure that is not the problem. currently set at Duplex = Full and port speed = 100.
Changed the router blade and wonder if that casued the loss of connectivity?
Do not have light on the router port or the Celerra end of the wire.
rather gun shy at using CSA to "reconnect"

Celerra has been running fine for 4 months.
Needed to power down the unit and could not connect to it from my PC.
It did shut down when the battery backup failed.
Got it running and the servers are connecting and users get to the files.
The PC I have been using to manage the Celerra no longer connects.
There is no link light on the port on the switch
There is no link light on the back of the Celerra where the MGMT wire plugs in.

Thought the link problem was due to port speed or duplex. Set now at Auto 100
Tried Full 100 with no luck. Can use 1000 but have not tried.

Not good with command line interface but could with instructions (can't find)

    ok - makes more sense

looks like you are talking about the control station management interface

default setting should be Auto with no Speed or Duplex set

no link light is not good. make sure you use the correct interface
the controlstation has several Ethernet interfaces - you need to plugin to the one labeled eth3

I assume that ping and ssh to the control station IP doesnt work either

if that doesnt help you can attach a laptop/Terminal to the serial console port on the front of the control station and debug from there

what Celerra model are you using ?

Yes the Internet Explorer interface from the PC to Celerra.
    Using Celerra NS20
back pannel has a card with one port to"B Network and one port to "MGMT"
MGMT 5E cable connects to cisco switch.
    Ping does not work.

can you advise on debug procedure documentation?

you can double-check using the attached diagram that you are using the correct port

if that is ok then you can connect to the serial console using these instructions:

Connect a null modem serial cable from the serial port on the front of the Control Station to one of the COM ports on the Windows Client. Observe the Control Station reboot, or log into the Control Station if a login prompt is presented, and continue troubleshooting.

To open a HyperTerminal session with the Control Station, use the following settings and click on the Call button:

Name of connection; Connect using: COM1 or COM2; Bits per second: 19200 Data bits: 8 Parity: None Stop bits: 1 Flow Control: None (verify that Autodetect & ANSI are selected for terminal emulation).

From there on its probably best to call EMC support and let them talk you through if you are not Linux proficient

Though if all you did was to power down the Celerra and changed the ports on your switch then most most likely your problem isnt with the Celerra setup, but rather like:
    - faulty cable
    - switch port not online
    - wrong speed/duplex settings on the switch
    - switch port in the wrong subnet/VLAN
    ....
