no storage API data available - virtual data mover disk deleted

Hi all

I have a problem with a VNX 5700 where a disk that contained a test virtual data mover, a test CIFS server, a test CIFS share has been removed and deleted from the ~filestorage Storage Group in Unisphere. The old disk d8 still appears in file volumes and cannot be deleted because it says it is in use by the vdm and the test CIFS server and test share. The problem is the vdm won't load because the disk is no longer there so I can't umount the test file system to remove the vdm because the vdm won't load.

If I run nas_checkup if highlights that there is no symapi for the d8.

Is there a way to manually cleanup this vdm that's disk has been removed ?

    Hi,

    if you tried the force flags (sometimes –f is not mentioned) then please open a service request so that customer service can dialin and manually fix.

    I have tried the -f switch with no luck and I have logged a SR.
