SCv3020 FC issue

Hi
SCv3020 with two controllers.
Each controller has 2 ports FC 16gb.

Two Brocade 300.Connected as described on best practices. https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/storage-scv3000_deployment-guide_en-us.pdf

ESXI sees only 2 paths (Active IO)
Why do I not see 4? (2 should be StandBy, doesn't it?

Hello chenchen,

What you are seeing is correct. Since you your using FC you will only see the active paths in VMware. If you were using iSCSI then you would see all 4 paths in VMware.

Thanks for the answer.

So actually in both of them (FC or ISCSI) - no matter what i see - 2 paths are active, right?

there is no difference, am i right?
