broken laptop!
I have a laptop I bought ( I bought two in November as gifts for my kids) the computer was gifted on 12/25 by jan 13th it was broken and tech service was called. the computer has been shipped back supposedly fixed, and two service people came and replaced everypart on the computer three times. It is broken again it wont turn on. I called the service staff is very nice however, the minimum time on the phone to get anything done is one hour. they will only send me replacement parts for the 4th time. can someone explain to me how it is fair that I pay for a computer that has not worked more than a month out of the last 8 with a warranty that expires in November? I only have dell computers in my home and at a minimum have purchased 10 computers from this outfit. I asked the question in January and was told I was out of the return timeframe. I was told to purchase an extended warranty at a cost of $150. I guess this situation is fair to dell but definitely not to me. I have learned a lesson I will never buy a computer from dell again. they are not fair to the consumer . but I guess their computer will continue to be a nice dust collector. service tag
