So on 6/16 I placed an order for a Dell XPS 8700.  

Everything is stock for the system except the video card.  

At the time of ordering the estimated shipping date was 6/18.  Which I was happy about.   I placed the order,  the estimated arrival date is 6/28.  So I figured "whatever, the estimated ship date is 6/18, so that's not bad."  When I even placed it, you can click on the "estimated ship date" and it states it only takes a day to build....

One day.   

So I figured ehh,  It was either going to a store and buying and off the shelf PC,  or ordering from Dell and getting what I want.  Plus I got free 2nd day delivery.  

All the way up to yesterday, it's said in in production.   All the way up to yesterday, if you went to the Dell XPS 8700 it still said "est ship date 6/21"   It has now changed to be a bit further out.  I have contacted Dell multiple times to see if there is a delay.  Because if there is, I will cancel my order and take my business elsewhere.  They say that there isn't, but then say there is a demand for it.  Ok, well then don't advertise on the side of the system "est ship date" as being 6/18, or the next day.  Don't even advertise that it takes One day to build.  It's ridiculous.  I have called, I have done online chats, and no direct answer whether or not my order will be delayed.  I have read online here that people have their orders delayed.   If that's the case, then come out and tell me "your order is delayed" so I can cancel my order and go order a PC elsewhere that I can get sooner.   I have never had any issues before with ordering systems from dell until now.
