Bought a 24" monitor and a wireless kb/mouse combo on 27th December 2019. Original estimated delivery was 10th January. Not bad. Then, it was delayed to 14th February 2020. I thought it was some temp inventory issue. Then, it was delayed again to 21st February 2020. I called customer service and I was told to drop this order and replaced the same order again with sales team. I agreed. (I was then wrongly transferred to operator instead of sales team, I had to explain the whole story to everyone that I talked to. I was transferred again and again. I had to talk to 5 people at least. Won't go into details.) Finally, sales team cancelled it and placed the order again.
With new order, estimated delivery was 17th January. I was happy. Today, it was delayed again to 24th January.
Although I didn't get a monitor, I have been stuck with delays since Nov 18th for 1 PC! I have talked to god knows how many different people at dell...my order has been cancelled and reordered 3 different times the most recent being Jan 7th. I talked with them today and they wont even know if my computer will even be built until tomorrow at 10am when they supposedly get an update. I share in your frustration...just 10 years ago at DELL manufacturing there were people making up to a 1000 computers A DAY. Hope everything turns around for yah! Cheers.
Oh, I couldn't agree more. Dell used to be much better than this back then. Always used Dell laptops and monitors in the past for their durability. Orders were smooth. Well, anyway, there were more updates at my end.
In response to my post above, customer service staff contacted me yesterday via PM. They confirmed that my monitor would still be delivered on or before 17th January. Good news is order status of keyboard and mouse combo changed to Shipped, according to order status. Couldn't really track it yet though. Bad news is that "delay" message (below) now shows up at my monitor order.
Your order has been delayed. Your order is very important to us and we intend to ship it as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
From what you described and what I am experiencing, I guess something is really happening inside.
Dell is demonstrating "how important your order is to them". It's the new business paradigm. Tell the customer how important they are, all while them 9 ways to Sunday.
