Very Disappointed
It was an agonizing decision to go with the Dell/Alienware system over one from Digital Storm. In the end I chose Dell because I felt more comfortable that I would receive excellent service and a great system. The Aurora system completely decked out was a little over $4200 and shipped on 07/10. The specs say it is a 6-core processor overclocked to 4.1 GHZ. The system that arrived was a 6-core 3.4 GHZ overclocked to 3.7 GHZ. After 3+ hours on the phone and Alienware technical support adjusting Bios thru me and downloading programs to stress the processor to get maximum performance, the system caps at the 3.7 ghz. Dell will not replace the system and will only provide $100 compensation. Yes, I will send the system back and have my money refunded. However, what a huge black eye for the company as a whole. Not only will I not buy from them again but nobody I know who is aware of my situation will buy a Dell. At some point, dealing with customers and advertising something that is not available does not bode well as a long-term business model.
