DataDomain 630 and DD2200

Hi everyone

I've got a question for you Pro guys.

We have an old DD630 which has been shipped to our datacenter. I've never touched on of those old systems....

- Are they compatible with the new generation systems like 2200 (Replication)?

- If not is it possible to update firmware or something like that?

- How do I install one of those old systems? Same way like the old ones?

- Any big differences between the new and old generation regarding concept, design, technology?

If you have any suggestions or links just let me know.

Thank you so much

:-)

Cheers

    - yes, replication will work

    - DDOS only (which contains fw code). You can check release documents for compatibility, but you should be ok.

    - always the same procedure

    - there is difference of course, but nothing so big operational wise
