Currently the System updates framework doesn't have support for running sudo commands and does need a root accout to apply Linux DUPs.

We will keep this in mind for future releases and see if we can add support for sudo access.

As a work around is it possible for you to provide root access to ssh if the request comes from specific IP address? That might provide a work around.

Is there any update for adding sudo access support to OME?  The work around mentioned above introduces a major security risk and goes against one of the fundamental rules of Unix administration.  We've spent time and resources getting OME up and running in our environment only to now find out that it's not useable for most of our environment because of this limitation.

Hi Ryan,

Sudo feature is available in OME 1.2 for System Updates and OMSA Deploy.  This release will be available during the summer timeframe.
