SupportAssist vs. Dell Integrated Support

We just received a R720 with instructions to use OME with SupportAssist to monitor and ID hardware failures.

What is the difference between OME with the SupportAssist plug-in vs. OME with the Dell Integrated Support plug-in?  How do these solutions differ from Proactive Systems Management?

Hi and thanks for your post.

Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on Dell Support Assist.  The Support Assist forum probably has guys with a lot of the details you'd like.

But the Support Assist plug-in can be installed along with OME to provide these features.  If you install it then you can go to the Extensions tab of OME and launch the Support Assist plugin.

I think this new program will replace the PSM program, but again, you might ask the guys over in the other forum.

Hope this helps give you a bit of background.  I found a few other links that might help.

    Regards,

    Rob

SupportAssist is the new name for Dell integrated Support for version 1.1.    This Plugin to OME is  replacing the stand alone Proactive Systems Management.
