WD19 Not displaying detecting display ports

Hi all, not sure if this is the right section, but all threads I searched in regards to WD19 are in this subforums.

Long story short, is WD19 only usable for dell laptops? I have an Eleutronics Laptop and when plugged in, none of the video inputs (HDMI or DisplayPort) are detected. I get the "USB not recognized" error, but all USB devices on that dock are functional.

There are no bios updates for my laptop, and I have downloaded and updated all applicable drivers. Thanks a lot

@david0925  In order to get video output through the WD19, the source system’s USB-C port needs to support DisplayPort Alt Mode, which involves having a GPU output wired to the USB-C port. That is an optional capability on USB-C, and therefore not all systems with USB-C ports have that capability. Some laptops have “data-only” USB-C ports. Yours might be one of those. But the WD19 is definitely not a Dell-only dock. I personally use one with my Lenovo laptop. There are certain functions that only work with Dell laptops, like using the dock’s Power button to control the system, because there’s no industry wide standard for external Power buttons, but the dock’s core functions work as long as the source system supports the necessary industry standard technologies.
