Reset PS4000 Help!

So I inherited a Dell EqualLogic PS4000 with nothing really on it. It has a default storage pool set to RAID 5. I want to redo this SAN and add some RAID 10 pools/volumes. I am wondering what the best way to do this is.

The array is at a Colo so I only have remote access, so hopefully this is something I can do without being phsyically there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

First I'd suggest to register on the Equallogic site so you can get to the documentation and software that you may need for using this system to it's full potential.

The Equallogic architecture runs a single raid type on the whole enclosure (member).

You'll need to reset the unit to change from raid 5 to raid 10. If it's the only member in a group, your best bet is to serial in and do a "reset". If the unit is part of a multi-member group, right click the member and select to remove it from the group (this will reset it as well, but will let the group know what you're doing). Resetting the unit does wipe all data, so if you have any relevant data on it, make a backup or so.
