"are there any tools to monitor disk IO on MD3000i?
at least these counters:
\PhysicalDisk(_Total)\Disk Reads/sec
\PhysicalDisk(_Total)\Disk Writes/sec
\PhysicalDisk(_Total)\Disk Read Bytes/sec
\PhysicalDisk(_Total)\Disk Write Bytes/sec
\PhysicalDisk(_Total)\Avg. Disk Bytes/Read
\PhysicalDisk(_Total)\Avg. Disk Bytes/Write
"

In the Modular Disk Storage Manager, generate a support bundle (Support Tab -> Gather Support Information) or look under the Tools Tab for performance.
You can also use IOmeter.org to help you gather information. If your not getting the best results please check this PDF out.
