Dell 360w thin form factor psu compiled list

Dell 360w psu (6+4 pin white, 6 pin black) compatible with Inspiron models using 6 pin white connector as well as Optiplex (7050/60/70/80 XE3) and Vostro

L360EGM-00 or H360EGM-00

VM8KR 360w

19YR3 360w

8HKG7 360w

K38XP 360w

The following 360w psu have two white 4 pins and are probably incompatible with Dell motherboard that has only one 4 pin socket, however there seems to be some version of the psu that has only 4 pin white connector which would work.

2VD0G 360w

PCFT5 360W

YCRD7 360W

Dell proprietary ATX 12V only psu does not have SATA connector (which requires 5 and 3.3V).  Instead Dell psu powers motherboard only, and motherboard generates the needed 3.3/5V.  All these Dell proprietary motherboard has a mini SATA pwr socket which is connected to a Dell SATA power cable that has SATA connectors for drives.

ATX12VO is the new industry standard which is 10 pin. Dell was doing some corner cutting proprietary design by shrinking it to 6 pin, albeit 12V only.  In the newest xps 8950, Aurora R13/14 Dell has caught up to the 10 pin 12VO standard.

Will all of these work with the Inpiron 3891 desktop?  When I click on them, some say they only work with the Optiplex and will not work with the Inspiron.

    Thank you.

Psu vendor information on compatibility is limited and often mixed correct and incorrect info.  It is more reliable to obtain actual photo of the psu you want to get.  It needs to have a 6+4 pin white connector (NB: not 6+4+4) and a 6 pin black PCIe connector.  If a Dell oem TFX psu meets the above criteria, it will work w 3891.
