Inspiron 5590 hard disk overheating
Hi there.
I have a Inspiron 5590 (10th gen Core i3, 4GB RAM) which I purchased back in May 2020. I have a dual boot setup of Windows 10 Home and Ubuntu 20.10 for which I halved the storage of the C drive in windows which was the only default OS partition. As I am not using Windows 10 nowadays, I decided to shrink its partition further to 150GB and use the new partition for creating Ubuntu's backups(my laptop has a 1TB HDD). But since then, the hard drive area is overheating like crazy due to which I am facing extreme slowdowns. Is there any way to fix this?
Appreciate any kinds of help.
P.s. As far as I know, the model name has changed for my particular system, but during my time of purchase from the official online Dell store it was Inspiron 5590
Well, I tried that, but the problem is that the ventilation holes are near the CPU heat sink and not the hard disk.
I will try reinstalling Ubuntu and redo some partitions minus the Windows one as that seems to be unaffected with this, and if that doesn't work, then it's either a full format or replacement

Have you tried letting it pass air from below? the ventilation holes are located under the chassis. Which version did you have? the special edition ?
