Micro Freezing Issue

Dell G15 3515 Ryzen edition micro freezes problems

So I have had this brand new Dell G15 for about few months, but this Freezing issue makes me lots of problems.

The computer randomly micro-freezes for about 0.5 seconds and then continues, which is really annoying because if I am watching videos, the video stutters when the freeze happens. The computer also freezes when I open certain programs like Facebook-Youtube and when the computer initially boots, when I close programs the computer freezes.

I have already tested multiple things:

  • Reinstall Windows 11.
  • cleared Temp files
  • Conselted Software team & Hardware Team No use
  • Drive Check
  • Dell hardware diagnostics tool with no error.
  •  All drivers are up to date.
  •  BIOS is updated to the latest version.
  •  In safe mode seems like there are no freezes.

If you're experiencing micro-freezing issues with your Dell computer, where it intermittently freezes for a brief moment, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check System Resources: Monitor your computer's resource usage, such as CPU, memory, and disk usage. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager (Windows) or Activity Monitor (Mac) and look for any processes or applications that might be consuming excessive resources. If any specific process is causing the freezing, you may consider terminating or uninstalling it.

    2. Update Drivers: Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause performance issues. Visit the Dell support website, enter your computer's model or service tag, and download the latest drivers for your hardware components, including graphics, chipset, and network drivers. Install them and restart your computer.

    3. Check for Malware: Malware or viruses can impact system performance and cause freezing issues. Run a thorough scan using reliable antivirus or antimalware software to detect and remove any malicious programs.

    4. Clean up Disk Space: Insufficient disk space can affect system performance. Delete unnecessary files, temporary files, and clear your browser cache. Consider using the built-in Disk Cleanup tool (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac) to free up disk space.

    5. Check for Overheating: Excessive heat can cause performance issues and freezing. Ensure that your computer's vents and fans are clean and not blocked. Use compressed air to blow out any dust or debris from the vents. Consider using a laptop cooling pad or adjust your computer's power settings to prevent overheating.

    6. Disable Unnecessary Startup Programs: Some programs may start automatically with your computer and consume system resources. Disable or remove unnecessary startup programs to improve performance. You can manage startup programs using the Task Manager (Windows) or System Preferences (Mac).

    7. Perform a Disk Check: Run a disk check to identify and fix any errors on your computer's hard drive. On Windows, you can use the built-in CHKDSK utility. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type "chkdsk C: /f /r" (replace "C:" with the appropriate drive letter if necessary). On Mac, use the Disk Utility application to verify and repair disk errors.

    8. Update BIOS: Outdated BIOS firmware can sometimes cause performance issues. Visit the Dell support website and check if there are any BIOS updates available for your computer. Follow the instructions provided to update your BIOS.

If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it may be beneficial to contact Dell support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps based on your computer model and configuration.
