Isilon and StoneWare

Wanted to share some information while testing Isilon with webStorage from stone-ware.com, which is an SMB client built on top of jcifs.

The webStorage was having trouble accessing the Isilon cluster until we set the username (on the stoneware side) to include the Active Directory name " \" in front of the user name.

This possibly could also have been fixed by setting the following parameter on the isilon side:

isi auth ads modify --assume-default-domain=yes

However, we did not test this method.

    Hi sile,

we did use the --assume-default-domain=yes parameter with another system, which was not authenticating with domain. The parameter fixed it, so this would be a working solution.
