Isilon Node Upgradation
Hello Team,
I am facing some problem while adding the new node in existing Isilon cluster.
Actually we have 7 node cluster and have planned to add one new node.
Existing 7 nodes have following configuration.
X400 x 7 nodes with 3 x 400 GB SSD and 33 x 2TB SATA drives.
The new node which we have purchased is X410 with 2 x 800 GB SSD and 34 x 2 TB SATA considering enabling Node and SSD compatibility option.
Later I came to know for enabling the SSD compatibility we need to enable L3 cache which is not recommended for CAD environment.
Finally, I have decided to change the 2 x 800 GB SSD drives and 1 x 2TB SATA drive with 3 x 400 GB SSD drives to maintain drive comparability and avoid enabling SSD compatibility option .
But after replacing the drive and connecting the node OneFS still reflecting the old node configuration because of which I have not added this node.
Can someone help me resolving this issue ASAP.
Regards
Pulkit Kaul

Hi Pulkit Kaul,
When you made the changes to the hardware on the nodes, did you also get a new CTO package to install? The CTO package is needed to update the expected configuration on the node. If you only change the hardware, the node will not recognize it automatically. If you need the CTO package, your account team should be able to provide it.
